Vehicle hire for film crews and productions: 9-seaters, pickups and 4x4s

Moving cast, crew and kit to remote locations? The vehicles that make a shoot run smoothly.

What productions need from hire vehicles

Location shoots in the UK often take crews down farm tracks, onto moorland and to remote coastline. Production managers need vehicles that can carry people and kit, cope with poor access, and turn up reliably at early call times. A mixed fleet of people carriers, pickups and 4x4s usually covers it.

9-seaters for cast and crew

The Mercedes V-Class seats nine adults with luggage space behind, and its sliding doors make loading quick. It is ideal for unit moves, hotel shuttles and airport runs, and its comfortable cabin suits cast as well as crew.

Pickups for kit and equipment

A Ford Ranger or Toyota Hilux carries camera, lighting and grip cases in the load bed, and can tow a generator or equipment trailer up to 3.5 tonnes braked. Low-range four-wheel drive gets kit to places a van cannot reach.

4x4s for remote locations and picture vehicles

A Land Rover Defender is the go-to vehicle for scouting and reaching remote set-ups. A Range Rover suits talent transport or a premium on-screen vehicle. Tell us if a vehicle will appear on camera so we can discuss any requirements.
